ristorante we, a Tuscan-inspired restaurant located in the heart of the loop in the swanky W Chicago - City Center is a perennial favorite for downtown workers and theater-goers alike. Guests gather together and enjoy quartinos of wine while enjoying Executive Chef Charlie Brown's menu of spirited anitpasti, comforting bowls of pasta and grilled steaks and chops with frites. This intimate restaurant, decorated with deep burgundy banquettes and mirrored walls that reflect warm candlelight, is set street side with grand ceiling-to-floor windows that overlook the hustle and bustle of West Adams Street.- April 2005

What a wonderful meal. Thanks to a gracious chef, Scott Campillo, who was as charming as he is talented. Forget the old Midland Hotel, this is swanky, yet inviting. The salmon was great; the wine list very interesting. What I remember of the dessert was great--some kind of chocolate thing!
Definitely check it out. For those who think Loop dining is not interesting, We puts that to rest.
