This is a restaurant that has arrived at a mutual sense of understanding between the kitchen and the customer. The main focus is American contemporary, but there are more than a few Asian influences. Impressive dishes include egg drop soup with lobster, Arctic char with a cilantro-citrus-caviar vinaigrette, Cod with a sweet pea emulsion, and an impressive nectarine tart. Soft, neutral colors set the stage for the minimal wall décor and less-is-better appointments. Two rows of back-to-back banquettes in the center of the room are angled so splendidly that every diner has a view of something. Quiet and comfortable civilized dining.- March 2005
