This restaurant is a work of art and, in most instances, so is the food. Some dishes reach too far, but to us this is simply a matter of settling in. Meal options include a five-course menu, five-course vegetarian menu and a "spontaneous" seven-course grand menu. Any of those options can be served with wine pairings, taken from a glass-enclosed room visible to diners that holds some 5,000 bottles. The menu offerings change frequently and the minimalist restaurant is gorgeous in every respect. The service is attentive, the food is excellent. If you can deal with a tab that can easily go over $100 a person, then this is your kind of place.- March 2005
